Part of the sacred ritual meal (kandulì), which occurs four times each annual cycle of swidden activities, is the cooking of rice in bamboo tubes (doubtless the way Teduray cooked rice prior to the introduction of iron pots from the coastal peasant market). In the left foreground is Mo-Sew and to the right is Ideng-Emét.
